Whalley 1374/John del Eves was complainant alleging that William Talbot and others had carried off his wife Joan and "despoiled his goods etc." John Banastre of Walton-le-Dale and Margery his wife prosecuted the claim for dower against Robert del Eves, probably the father. Eaves Green is given as N.E. of Goosnargh Chapel. 198 Eaves or Eyves Hall has been mentioned among possesions of Alex Rigby. 1633 Alex Rigby made enquiry as to the 'manor of Eaves Green. He believed it was the land he owned. 'Only a little common......and no manor'.
